Some people use Cupping because it is an ancient healing therapy that helps relieves the pain they are feeling.
Cupping helps decompresses soft tissues using a vacuum suction like cups and is a form of massage therapy. This treatment also helps relieve pain such as fatigue, muscle pain and even depression.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION ON CUPPING TREATMENT
What is Cupping Used For and How it Can Help my Body?
Cupping can help everyone especially athletes in relieving muscle tension, tightness, and helps the body reabsorb the fluid and move the swelling out of the area. It can also help anyone with pain, stiffness, and/or breathing problems.
Glass or Specialized Cups are then placed on your skin while the air is removed through a pump or by lighting a flame inside the cup to create a small vacuum.
In Chinese medicine, pain is viewed as stagnation or something that isn’t moving. If you have an injury, the swelling sometimes just sits there, or if you have arthritis, the inflammation doesn’t go anywhere and this is where cupping helps you with all of these problems.
Is Cupping Treatment Painful?
It’s not painful but it may leave a temporary mark. Every once in a while, a redness called "sha" occurs due to the reaction of the treatment when you have lot of stagnation in the area.
How Many Times Can I Do Cupping Treatment?
Usually, cupping treatment is used in conjunction with acupuncture and patients can come in as often a two to three times a week. Cupping is a great technique because you can feel the effects right away, whereas with just acupuncture, you’ll feel better in a couple of days.
How Does Cupping Treatment Works?
First, a vacuum is created inside the cup, either by burning the oxygen inside a glass cup or by sucking the air out from the top of a plastic cup. Then the cup is quickly placed on the selected target points on the patient’s skin, and the vacuum draws the skin up into the cup.
For centuries, cupping therapy has been used to treat a variety of medical conditions and the earliest record of this treatment were found in an ancient book called The Mawangdui Silk Texts.
The book was written on silk that was discovered in an ancient tomb in 1973 that dates back to China’s Han dynasty (202BC-220AD).
The use of cupping therapy can be traced back to early Jin dynasty doctor Ge Hong, who lived between 283 and 343AD and was a well-known herbalist and alchemist.
