How Often Should I Come Back for an Acupuncture Treatment?
When experiencing internal conditions, we recommend at least 2 sessions per week until the symptoms have fully recovered. Always remember that consistent treatments will reestablish balance in the body and promote self healing towards one's self.
Since every individual is different, when the patient experiences acute and excruciating pain we recommend 3-7 sessions until pain is resolved.
We also recommend at least 2-3 session per week for three weeks for long standing chronic pain and once we see improvements, your sessions may reduce to 1-2 per week until symptoms do not reappear or have fully improved.
HISTORY OF ACUPUNCTURE
The ancient practice of acupuncture started in China approximately 3000 years ago. The first documentation was described as an organized system of diagnosis and treatment in The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine, which dates back to 100 BCE.
Acupuncture treatments spread throughout Asia due to its rising popularity and by 6th century C.E, acupuncture influenced Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures and then out to Western countries. From there, acupuncture has made its way through the centuries and has been on the rise in the U.S. since the 1970’s.
PATIENT'S TESTIMONIAL ON ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT
"Dr. Yang was incredibly knowledgeable and professional"
Last month when I traveled in Honolulu I had my first acupuncture treatment with Dr. Annie Yang, and I cannot recommend her enough!
I left feeling amazing - completely relaxed and with a renewed sense of energy. The benefits of the treatment have lasted long after the session. I am excited to continue receiving acupuncture treatment from Dr. Yang when I go to Honolulu again.
